He describes his experiences at the southwestern Siberian base called ‘Yasniy’ (known to the CIA as the Dombarovskiy ICBM base) watching a ‘Dnepr’ launch vehicle blast off from an underground silo normally used for nuclear-armed ‘Satan’ ICBMs, and also ‘nosing around’ to see what else he could see without getting shot at.
