Objects of Desire – The Art of Textile Design by Laura Goldstein of Grotta & Co.

How I hand make custom high end and silk patterns and designs, then use them in pillows, throws and scarves. Resulting products make great unique accent pieces for interior designers, home furnishers and architects. This ancient art is supplemented by some modern tricks, but not too many. I make my own screens from home made negatives using images I have collected for many, many years. We are still in Milwaukee where my grandfather started the business a long time ago.
