SX Telecaster Thinline, great CHEAP tele clone test
I read in several places about how good are SX guitars (extremely cheap Spain brand, made in China). As i’m curious… here my birthday gift, a iper cheap ASH (yes, it is real ash) Telecaster Thinline with 2 single coils. Screenshot are so good i’m suspecting it wont be as good in real… but i’m really really suprised about the wood and resonance. There was wire soldered by a blind man, and still some wood pieces into body (ah ah ah) but anything you can solve for free. The plan is to put serious pickup set in, but i’m quite impressed about how the stock pickup sounds so i wanna share this with others. Tuning is not great, but is really just out of box with new strings, so let’s see after a couple of hours… capo need work anyway. Tuners are cheap but are better than i think, like almost anything here. i’m IMPRESSED about how this guitar look and how this guitar play. Maybe with a Nocaster set or Twang King set….

@ MrKennyMiles it is a pretty good telecaster, and stock pickups are not bad at all, so it suitable for tele lot of usage are as versatile instruments. being a semi hollow it need care with extreme high gain tones, but i hope anyone buy a thin line to do death metal:)
is this for rockabilly, country or only for n blues funk?
does anyone know exactly what finish this guitar is? because i want to sand down the headstock to remove the logo
@ DavinaFaerie Last I saw just under $ 200 @ Pony Music. I checked the website but they arent listed. They have a much bigger range than what they show on the website.

@ DavinaFaerie thank you. if you seek for newer videos, i changed the pickups some months ago and some other mod and now it is really a killer tone guit. anyway at a starting point, this is a very nice guitar telecaster model and play even better than stock various teles of much higher price range

@ DavinaFaerie I’m here to share knowledge with other youtube users, so I’m happy too if i can be helpful. I never tried the Jixing guitars so i do not know, i just can talk of guitars i tried or own. There are some very nice cheap guitars outthere, but not all cheap guitars are good and price is not a good meter to judge

@ I’m not convinced about DavinaFaerie that price. i buy mine 2 years ago but i payed 139 EUR in dollars that are a bit more (but consider here are usually higher price for musical stuff, most of things even if price EUR same cost value is higher than dollar). It really seem too expansive. It is a good guitar but it get cheap components. You saw prices at Rondo Music shop? I guess are reasonable than this one

@ DavinaFaerie check on Rondo Music website, it is the U.S. store for SX guitars and did shipment worldwide. It should be rather cheap even with shipment
