Haute Voltige – Tianmen Cave Flight

For those who may have forgotten, the VariEze aircraft was the plane ocean # in which the singer John Denver crashed into the Pacific. He was a very experienced pilot, and the VariEze is one of the safest aircraft in the experimental category. One can only guess that the cause of the accident was due to pilot error. I love the VariEze aircraft as it is virtually stall proof and with one pilot, it will fly nearly 232 mph with a Cessna 150 engine installed.

The 2 @ darkiansmith Rutan canards are Longeze, or one of the variants of those. They are home built / experimental, designed by Burt Rutan, who has designed Subsequently the various Virgin Galactic aircraft.
What were those last planes to fly with the big canards and swept wings?
