@ OntarioPrepper Although, he did make mess of GSP’s eye, had he had some killie instinct in his striking and better timing / distancing he would have beaten GSP, he would have messed up his face a bit more then managed to get hiim down on floor finally. Jake looked like a guy already beaten while he thought GSP.

@ Jiggawha1 Those results were bullshit. Pretty much every episode has the highest recorded somebody something ever. If GSP is so powerful how come he nearly got beat in the standup by jake shields effing?

@ Tanikaze2 Not really. . . obviously. How many body or head kicks Shields did throw in that fight is I will admit Shields did a lot better in the stand up than I thought he would, he actually landed a few punches.

@ IAMJOHNNYTHEFOX plus having bigger muscles does not guarantee better punching, kicking, etc.. GSP shogun punches harder than cain velasquez and kicks harder than. surprised? I’m sure u are. check out sports science to check those facts.
@ IAMJOHNNYTHEFOX well as a mw he fought henderson at 180 or 182 lb, or something very close to that. or He doesn’t even have to cut to get to GSP cuts from 190 mw Sun Alvez and Anthony Johnson are usually above 200 lb and cut down to ww. so I would not consider a mw shields based on his size. he got leaner to keep up with GSP’s pace.
If he can not get George down, he’s in trouble. GSP will be hunting that Chinese

@ Jiggawha1 take a look at shields when he fought at 185th he was a lot bigger and more ripped. some guys diminish themselves too much by moving down a weight class and are not able to keep the same muscle mass. gsp is a much bigger fighter than shields at ww, but at mw, shields doesn’t cut much weight and carries more muscle as a result. yes, it is quite brilliant

@ IAMJOHNNYTHEFOX u do realize ww is 170 lb and 185 lb. is mw. so your logic is to move up even though u claim he is small for ww? brilliant. . .
When it comes to striking, Shields is an excellent grappler. . .
@ Foxo1982 He’s so pausing before throwing kicks. Both are pretty major flaws if you’re about to fight GSP. Shields was, but I do not see him taking it.
He is slow but they are showing round 9 is kind of normal. He is dropping his right hand a few time when jabbing.

yes he is yes he his slow and sluggish gsp is better in all areas but it would be like Werdum fight fedor gsp goes and just wants out and then take shileds gsp will be surprised by shileds like Werdum surprised fedor. fedor just took it out so will do but gsp gsp will be caught in the triangle choke he can slip out of that fight or not only will show!
theres no power behind his kicks or punches, and hes very small at welterweight. i could see Jake taking the title at middleweight, but he’s gsp is just so much bigger than him at ww

I want to see a 4-5RD was. But I’m worried this will end sooner than that much.
