The Dy(e)ing Art of African Textiles follows the work of textile producers in Ghana’s indigenous communities, most notably the weavers of kpetoe Agotime and Bonwire weaving villages, to find out how the ancient traditional craft is being used to drive economic change. Weaving together interviews and colourful cloth making traditions to create a rich tapestry of Africa’s rich history of textile making, the film encompasses history, cosmology, human labour and deep symbolism. Through a revelation of historical mythologies, African textiles come alive to tell us important things from the past
