Made in China Bass-Funky Cheap
This 5 String Bass is made in China, The Bass builders in China have really improve on their workmanship and skills over the last decade. I am very picky as far as my bass is concern. I am totally surpirse by this chinese Basses. It is very playable, whether if it’s slapping, thumbing, popping, finger picking or with a pick, it sounds great. For a 5 string Bass that cost around US$300 dollar. I am impressed. I am going to collaborate with the Bass factory to design my Model. The workmanship on this one is ok for the price range, the electronics are quite good, not much noise, quiet. It is acceptable for live recording and venue. The results I got from studio recording is not as good as my Warwick. As you can hear the response from the live gig is quite awesome for a cheap piece of …….. Anyway the bass is funky as hell for live gigs. Made in China. westbendbear , you are correct to a certain extend, the woodwork is great but it lacks in the quality of it’s electronic components, like knobs which i have to change into a better quality ones. Other than this issue, it’s still a bargain. Given time, i think they will improve on their QC.

You love those basses until you discover some defect in materials, design or workmanship that will cause major problems in the future (toxic glue, paint, etc. ). The Chinese are great at quality fade. . . i. e. the first several batches are awesome and then the quality slowly diminishes, like the boiling frog scenario. Just a warning, been there, done that. .

Thats a fat sound! And considering the price the bass is a bargen. It looks like the playability is good too. and i like the looks of the bass. They made a winner in China!

Hi Remx15, I am working on the final design. I am also negotiating with UPS and DHL on shipping costs around the World. For USA, Bass + Shipping + Handling = US$380 per Bass. I don’t know if this is acceptable. . . It’s a bit higher for Europe, add another US$40 for Europe.

Hi sahblot, no way dude, one must not be greedy, my plan is to sell it for less than US$250, shipping cost not included. It is hard these days, as the the US$ is not very stable.
