About India Couture Week HDIL India Couture Week, an initiative of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is expected to be the most glamorous and most unique of all the Fashion Weeks. India’s first couture week, presents 11 of the best Indian couturiers and aims at providing a platform for Indian couture. Estimated 16 to 21 September, are two theatrically produced shows held every day at his 7th Clock 30 and 9 12.00 clock. The event is certainly a celebration of Indian fashion India day five of the HDIL Couture Week started with an impressive collection of designer Varun Bahl who rewrote history by marrying the Mughal and Rajput dynasties with the Elizabethan era, creating an extravagant yet sober collection of silhouettes. An interesting aspect of Bahl show was the somewhat outrageous headgear worn by the models of reindeer horns to heavy loaded jewelry, feathers. The collection featured heavy crystallized Swarovski-draped dresses and kurtas, saris, churidars, stoles, jackets, shrugs, evening gowns, caftans, Sherwanis; and heavy embroidered skirts. With the use of a variety of brocade, tulle, silk and velvet, maroon color palette featured gold, rusty orange, pink and red. In the field of embroidery, the space dominated Zardozi. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who regularly walk the ramp for Tahiliani for a number of years. The actress was dressed in a red Lehenga with crystals and loaded with Zardozi work. Tarun is probably the best designers in India established in India in infrastructure and distribution.
