This DVD is so comprehensive, it took me three viewings to by them. Danielle has an easy going approach as it points to the art, technology. Your work is beautiful and it leaves you with the energy and the desire to try your hand with encaustic. Too bad there are only five stars for a vote! Rating: 5.5
I have read several books on encaustic, but you get a much better feel for the process when you see him in live action. Daniella Woolf is a great teacher and very creative. Rating: 5.5
Daniella Woolf’s DVD is a great tool for beginners as well as a perfect review for the experienced. The information, techniques and demos well organized, clearly presented and easy to follow. I have seen this DVD quality many times in my studio and continue to be re-inspired by her. Artists from every medium will find many useful techniques in this wonderful DVD to promote the new creative exploration. The gorgeous packaging itself is worth its price! Do not pass on this. . . This DVD downloads the latest beginner to experienced encaustic artists, to see it over and over again from beginning to end. Their demonstrations are to understand very clearly and simply. This DVD is very informative, detailed and helpful on the basics (and more) of many encaustic techniques. It is valuable for beginners and experienced painters, encaustic artists, and those in the textile and fiber engaged art as a natural extension of what they may already do. It is also to be seen so much fun! Mrs. Woolf is very entertaining and exciting. Your up close to combine demos, personal stories and expert advice in a splendid two hours exercise that you feel really like an intimate visit to her studio while she works. The quality of the videography is top notch – the camera is in working so close to the surface, the better you are ever in a class. The instructions are shown clearly and easy to follow. You can not go wrong with this wonderful DVD! I have watched it several times and each time receiving new information! Love it! Rating: 5.5
