I am a current subscriber, Fiber Arts, but we do not intend to renew. The magazine is beautiful and I would think, fashion designers and museum goers would love it. I had hoped it would be able to offer ideas for the unusual or sophisticated projects I do, but it does not work. I’m keeping a Participant 6 “sewing” magazines, and I refer regularly, but after reading throw Fiber Arts. Rating: 5.2
I do not remember to subscribe to this journal. However, I buy it on depending on what I’m in the kiosk. I can through the images in five minutes or less, it is easy to check right in the store, Flip. Be warned: This is all very high-end fiber art. All work must be very hard work and the art gallery or museum quality. Like this is waived for those who are inspired by artistic ideas that do to you in a week, or even search a month. Many of the works take many months to take a year. This is not a how-to magazine. There may be some general information and pictures on the kernel of the basic idea to get, but that’s all. I am not saying that change this. A high-end magazine in Fiber Arts is required. However, quite simply, I do most of my artistic inspiration from visuals get with high impact strength. For an art journal, these visuals do not pack much of a punch. This is a critical shortage for me. Borders and Barnes & Noble both have this in their magazine sections. I recommend that you first flip through an issue before it further with a subscription. The covers are usually fantastic pictures but that can “it” as far as the subject visually. Rating: 5.4
