Drywall manufactured in China is causing headaches for Florida builders and homeowners. It’s the latest Chinese product tied to problems in the US (Feb. 6)
we should just basically say screw you china and make our own drywall in the US. sure it may be more expensive but the extra money helps the economy by staying in the US vs leaving the country to china.
i bet 80% of the items in your home were make in china. . . . . . and your home was built with chinese drywall. ask your builder: like he will give you an honest answer.
yeah, you assholes ship all the jobs over seas: don’t cry now. you get what u pay for. . . . . . . they got most of their material from a waist landfill full of crapp.

How about stop building completely with synthetic and plastic materials? As long as we keep building like this, shit like this is going to happen, whether made in USA, China, India. There are numerous green and natural building options: strawbale, bamboo, earthbags, cob.
I’m convinced that the Red Chinese are trying to poison and bring harm to people around the world. In particular they want to bring harm to Americans (I’m not American but truly believe this) This is a typical example that Beijing will likely show no backbone in dealing with. They’re complicit in this for sure. I’d avoid buying Chinese produce because you never know about the water supply. Whether canned or fresh it’s pretty dodgy.
That’s true for a lot of labor intensive products, but it’s exaggerated by the fact that the US government and (up until recently) many of its citizens are addicted to borrowed money. So they sell us this stuff and use the money to buy our bonds. Buying the bonds keeps the Chinese currency low and gives their goods an artificial advantage. When they finally get tired of taking our IOUs with no reason to think they’ll every be paid back, well actually have to learn to make our own stuff again.
I assume wouldn’t normally be cost effective to import drywall, even if you could get it for free in China; the stuff is probably worth less than the shipping cost. But during the boom, US capacity ran short of demand, so the price went high enough to justify it, so they thought.
That does not even make sense. lol I was wrong. You are not a pedantic ass. You are just a petty and dumb internet troll. Exactly how dumb are you if you cannot even understand a simple analogy?
chinese couldn’t care less for things like this. they have about a billion other much bigger problems to worry about. btw, toxic dry walls are nothing. you’re talking about people who are putting leads – literally – to seafood products that they export to neighboring nations like korea or japan to get better pricing by making them heavier. toxic walls, i’m sure, don’t even register as problems in chinese bureaucracy.
What a pedantic and small-minded ass you are to criticize somebody’s typo on a fucking internet message board! Btw, do you also criticize babies for making grammatical errors when they first start to speak? It is not as if the person was writing a legal brief. You must be a very small, petty, and insecure sorry excuse of a person.
most manufacturing sectors are located in third world nations like china or mexico because of lower labor cost. it’s called economic dynamism. due to less stringent regulations in overseas, especially in politically less than stable and corrupt nations like china, these are the problems that we just have to live with since they are outweighed by benefits of cheap products.
I’ll just assume that you’re retarded or have only been on this planet a short time. China makes very few things well. Even when they steal ideas they still execute them half-assed. Many American companies only think they are saving money. They’ll regret their decisions when they come back and bite them. This is an excellent example.
The reason builders used Chinese drywall is because we ran out of our own due to housing boom at the time, and Katrina. The builder didn’t know it was toxic, it’s China’s fault.

The Chinese manufacturing industry is vast and is impossible to regulate.
Despite all the propaganda about China it is not a very regulated nation and you can even drive around in police cars if you know the right people.

So you equate yourself with a baby first learning to speak? I’d say that’s a fair observation.

China doesn’t make anything well, except chicken and rice. Well, if the chicken isn’t from China- then it’s probably ok.
grammar, English Professor. . .
