Either they buy the pieces in China and assemble them in Mexico, which is very likely. Or they make them in Mexico but mention ‘made in China’ so that they can pay their workers in black, without having to pay taxes and without fearing to be controlled, since it’s ‘made in China’ and not in Mexico.
Well what it probably is, is that the products that say they were from Mexico were actually made in China. Its kind of like a connman’s marketing form. “Buy these authentic Mexican crafts” when in fact they are mass produced in China. They just try to steal money out of out pockets for it.

because the products probably are made in china, many countries end up shipping things to china to be produced there, so therefore in a way, they are made in both countries.. which would give them the label “made in china”
it’s like American automobiles. They are assembled here in the states with US labor BUT many of their parts are manufactured elsewhere and shipped here for assembly. It still helps give our economy a boost and US jobs.
