No, we do the Saturday breakfast. It's our own little tradition.
I make homemade croissants or scones, omelets, or whatever strikes our fancy that week. Then we all sit down together. I'm just a breakfast girl I guess.
I telecommute so I can have more time for my children, who are still kinda young. So we have sit down dinner every night.
It's breakfast in our family that gets crazy- with getting the kids off to school, the hubby to work, and then starting my own work. Phew!
I'm non-Christian, though.

Not really...I really like Chinese food on Sundays though, but I had Mexican food. And my taste in food has nothing to do with my religion.

My family does have a family dinner every sunday. There isnt any specific dish. We all gather at my parents house and have dinner. A lot of us still live close by.
It was my grandma that started this tradition and as she got older my mom took over.

Red Queen! Hi!,
Yes, Mom is cooking it as I type this. Roast Beef tonight.
Every night it's wash, pray, eat/talk, pray, brush teeth clean-up/dry dishes - every day for 48 years. I called during my Navy days after 6:20 because I knew family was eating 5:30 sharp.
Roman Catholic, (Mom grew up Protestant.) So my parents have both have lived like this since 1933. I can't tell if it's religious or just family tradition. (German on Dad's side; British on Mom's)
Oh, Mom gathers us: she yells "Dinner's ready, call Mike." and "Get the water." (Also her meals start at 5:30pm sharp, few excuses. lol.)

LOL we have chicken too as our usual Sunday dinner although ham and pot roast sometimes make their appearance. My husband, my two sons, and I sit down to supper daily but we make Sunday special. We ask the blessing before, say thanks after, and later we pray the Rosary. Tonight however is the first Sunday in Advent so we also lit the first Advent Candle in our wreath and said the prayers accompanying it along with singing "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel"
Peace Be With You,
Debra

Yeah we do. We always have pasta and our entire family sits around the table and talk. I don;t think our beliefs have anything to do with it though.

We did when I was growing up, after church, but oddly enough, religion hardly played into it. We would be off and running on current events, science, homework, whatever my parents could do to stimulate our little minds.
And for that, I am grateful. Could not have asked for better, loving, caring parents.
