I think you could have got that at Macy’s or any store like that. One of those gift sets, not really a good cosmetic brand. But if you got that a year ago i’m not sure if it can perform the same as it would if it were fresh. Make-up to my knowledge can “expire” and you can break out in a rash if it gets too old. You might want to check into that.
deary, first and for most, Color institute is not made in China. It is made somewhere else. But I know it’s not in China. Secondly, there’ nothing wrong from buying, purchasing or using anything that came from china. As long as the cosmetics doesn’t irritates your skin, there’s nothing wrong with it. But if it causes you skin irritation, better consult a dermatologist and dumped that cosmetic away.
I can even gave you the different color institute products list:

It’s probably a gift pack from a uh, gift store?
I mean yeah, it’s not so bad using things that are from China, but then when it comes to makeup, it’s not such a good idea.
Obviously, it could irritate your skin ‘cos it might contain ingredients that just cover up (like artificials in a food) rather than cover up AND help your skin, etc. And it might be expired even if it doesn’t look like it.
i don’t know but i got the same one as a gift last year and my friends who gave it to me said it was great i thought it looked kind of cheap and junky so i donated it
