Is It Legal To Copy Designer’s Dress?

I saw many online sellers especially from China are selling fake designer’s dresses. They display the red-carpet dresses and offer to imitate an exact at lower price. I know there is a copyright law in the U.S that protects fashion designer. Is this ? What are the implications?

  1. I think it is legal as long as they are not using the real designers name & label on the knock off product. Like the people who set up stand selling knock offs of expensive sun glasses, they use the actual brand names and that is illegal.

  2. selling knockoffs is illegal
they twirk little things so its not the exact same thing but if theyre caught selling it they can get arrested
