  1. The chocolate that is made in Beijing is made by “Cadburies Asian Pacific” and is for the Asian and Australian market not the UK market.
Chocolate for the UK market is made in the UK.

  2. Not amazed at all.
    Disgraceful? YES.
Hershey’s is now being made in Mexico.
( that’s the “Cadbury” of the USA).
    But that’s with everything.
    Look at the USA.
Nothing is made in America anymore.
Buy an American car? All the parts are made in another country.
Look at computers. Everything made in China or Taiwan or Vietnam.
Kitchenware? WMF is a very expensive line and everyone pays 3 times the price for a WMF product( suppose to be made in Germany).
100′s of items and we could only find one, that was actually made in Germany.
All the others were made in China, Vietnam etc etc.
    Now it’s the food!
    What next?

Are you kidding? Welcome to the club. China or other countries owns most of American businesses as well. Even our own great American chocolate company…Hershey’s. (Now owned by Mexico).
Whenever we walk into a WalMart…(HUGE dept store chain)…it’s hard to find anything not made in China. Also WalMart’s grocery stores want the “country of origin” taken off of their food lables.
    Sorry about Cadbury.

  4. Nope. That’s how companies work these days – anything to save a few quid. It’s like phoning a call centre in some foreign place & it can take 20+ minutes (& a very sore tongue from biting it) for them to get the jist of what you are saying when a local person would understand the problem better within 2.

  5. most things for the uk market are made abroad – its shocking but true

  6. Not really. It is part of cost cutting.
