How Can I Persuade My Parents To Let Me Learn Japanese?

How can i my to let me ? Look, i’m of Chinese origin (not in china), due to the cruel invasion of army towards China in the second world war which both of my parents are well aware of, and they often tell me about the war crimes the commited when i was young but they were never very serious on that topic, my mom even liked fashion and our family planned to visit Japan often. My parents are open, but i’m still afraid that they will oppose my act, what can i do to persuade them??

  1. TOP CONTRIBUTOR Fads

My parents don’t like what the Japanese did either.
BUT they liked it that I took Japanese, for my future.
    So yeah, just do it.

  2. The best way to encourage peace is to understand the culture of another country. The best way to understand the culture is to learn the language. Some of the smartest students I had in China were dedicated to learning Japanese because they believed in living for the future not the past. Some of the bravest teachers were the Japanese teachers in Central China. Yes, they committed serious war crimes against China, but this is in the past. Let your parents know you are interested in learning Japanese and tell them you want to know their opinions and give them yours.

  3. Well, I would tell them you are interested in learning Japanese, but it doesn’t mean you plan to move to Japan or anything like that. Maybe you can find a cheap course or like the other answer, online and even teaching yourself a bit. Good luck.

  4. well do they know you want to learn japanese?
just tell them that you are interested,,,if you cannot find classes i would suggest getting rosetta stone or if all else fails,,, taking other online lessons.

  5. go on online or ask a japenese friend to teach you or ask your
    uncles/aunties to advice your parents.

  6. say you will be extremely good and you will do all chours and all housework???????
