Can Somebody Please Explain Fashion To Me?
I just don’t understand it. Why is it so popular?, there is an entire industry around it. Heck even entire cities are known for their “fashion scene” (like new york where I’m at).
If fashion shows displayed stuff that was practical you know stuff that people actually wear then I wouldn’t have so much of a problem with it. But these fashion shows are like over the top with some weird out of this world clothes that not even an alien would wear.
Mixing fabrics that don’t match like fur and leather with some silk stiched together with wool and cotton with some ridiculous colors, and the proportions! Don’t even get me started with that baggy on one side puffy on the other. It just doesn’t make sense!
What is it? A form of art? if so then it would be the equivalent of abstract art in my opinion (which I don’t like either).
And why the hell is it so expensive? Why should you pay 10 times as much for clothing from a famous designer? Supply and demand? Its made in china! most of it…….
fashion is an artform, yes, some of it at the fashion shows is abstract. It’s expensive because of the quality of the material ,the time it took to make it, and mst of all, the popularity of the designer. If I could market ridiculous, impractical clothes, I would if people would pay top dollar for it. Fashion is one big bandwagon, one trend after the other. It’s difficult to understand, that’s why most people just go with the flow, and hope to one day maybe understand why.
