  1. I think your question suggests that if “we” stopped buying Chinese goods, their economy would collapse and they would need much less oil. Then, with the reduced demand, the oil prices would fall, leaving us with a cheaper supply of energy.
If your “we” refers to everyone in the world, then yes, China would experience a slowdown in their demand for oil, and prices may relax just a bit. Remember, the oil companies can justify high prices any way they want to now, they can say that supplies are being depleted, and it is more precious now.
But you do not say what country you are from, and if you mean “everyone in your country” boycott Chinese goods, then forget it.
I hate to burst your thought-bubble, but the reason that China is doing so well, is that they have realized that we are so greedy, that we cannot live without all our “stuff”. So they are happy to make “stuff” for us and reap the rewards. They are fashoning an economy that is now transcending the dependence on any one country to support it.

  2. Look, it’s a fair world market, anybody can and will buy oil as long as there’s a need. The Chinese and US economies depend on each other heavily.
On a side note, why can’t people realize Tibet to China is like California to America, both are claimed territory after a war, although the Tibetans pretty much handed over the land without a fight. Mexicans in California are treated the same way as Tibetans in China — second class citizens.

  3. Well, you wouldn’t have any toys for children, adults either, for that matter, including tv sets, computers, mp3 players, vcr, dvd. No tinned mushrooms (they are ALL from China, no matter what brand), thousands of other items you would be doing without totally because there are no other choices at the moment.
And no, that wouldn’t make a huge difference. China is becoming very powerful economically now.

  4. well if you could it would help with some of the price of cheap stuff but gas nope.. listen the only way gas will ever go down is for people to stop using it and thats not going to happen
