Why Is It Seen As Being Patriotic To Wear A Flag Pin On Your Lapel, even If It’s Made In China By Child Slaves?
Or those stupid, made in China, magnetic ‘ribbons’ on your gas guzzling auto?

When I was a little kid my Mom would tell me when I screwed up that she always loved me and nothing could ever change that but there were days that she did not like me very much because of the things I had done…
I have never forgotten that wisdom, and I think it would apply very well to your question.
I am proud to be an American, and love this land very much. I don’t like some of the things it now stands for; torture, election fraud, pre-emptive war and corporate welfare to name just a few, and I have the right to not like my country based on the current Bush/Chenny/Republican/Conservative corrutped mess we now have after a period of total one party control.
The other side will have there right to object if the progressives screw things up as bad as these Bozos have.
The sad thing is so many things over the past eight years have been sugar coated for the sheeple and wrapped in our flag; clear skys/volutary air pollution levels for industry, healthy forests/cut them down before they burn, electronic voting/count the votes before they are cast… any way that is why I don’t wear a flag, or fly the flag. But I will again some day when I am once again proud of what it stands for.
I don’t hate my country, I hate Bush and every thing he has done.
It would be more patriotic to boycott anything made in China that isn’t a carnival toy and stop hiring illegals to do jobs that alot of Americans can do. College kids used to be landscapers and roofers. We Americans are greed and don’t want to pay a higher price, yet we’ll sit around complaining when we find out the products weren’t tested and are posinous. Its a vicious cycle.
If one were to boycott an American Flag pin then they should boycott every item made in China. Unfortunately, that is not the reason why Obama wouldn’t wear one. If he used that reason to make a political statement and then follow through with a platform that supports such, he may stand a chance with patriotic Americans.
You can muddy the waters all you wish or spin it any way you like. One fact no one can change, Obama REFUSES to wear an American Flag Pin regardless of where it is manufactured and refuses to salute the flag during the National Anthem and to those of us in America that love and honor those things KNOW IT!

You overlook the fact that the computer you used to ask this “question” was made in China. YOU therefore are supporting this type of market economy as well.
In America we can put what we wish on our suv’s because our military assures us of safety and freedom.
Thank you for just one more opportunity to thank our brave fighting men and women.
well, because as a whole, people are sheep. baa.. we believe the wholesale crap that the media (which is funded by the same people pulling most of the gov’t strings) sell us. We want to support the ideals of freedom and liberty, our own, without considering the global community. Those American Girl dolls every female child craves? made in china. baahaa….
I guess after 9-11 it was patriotic to have flags flying from you’re cars and anywhere you could put one. If it’s necessary to be patriotic with a lapel pin, how come it isn’t patriotic to fly flags on your car anymore. I guess nobody is patriotic then.
I suppose that any acknowledgement of America is a positive thing, although I share your concerns about the market being flooded with foreign-made goods.
But Obama said that being concerned about trade issues is a result of being “bitter,” remember, so maybe I’m one of the people he is talking about.
Because that is the American way….(?)
(Personally, I make sure my flags are made in the US, but I have no clue where the pins are made….)
And I have nothing magnetic on my gas guzzling auto since my Ron Paul magnet fell off….
WOW…… only a Chinese child slave or a fortune-teller would know that all flag pins are made in China by child slaves ! —Or maybe just another super-liberal Obama supporter with no life-experience who views the world through rose-colored glasses………..
You can get them made in the USA you know. So put a crescent on your skateboard.
you’re missing the point, it’s what’s on the outside, not the inside, that matters.
The pin is not so much the issue as the attitude he represents.
It’s the only way the cowards who support this war and do not go fight it show their balls.
No doubt you wear a rainbow flag. Ha! Ha!
It’s the thought that counts.
Apparently, some people don’t think about America or our troops.
for that reason is why i don’t wear them. i am very patriotic though.
Haha you do make a good point. They could have lead in them!
NICE!
LOL! I love it!
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to see the irony of it all.
Well if the US made them then they would cost 20 bucks and no one would wear them at all.
