Should the west be investing in power grids ect.n order to make things? e.i. toys ect. that are currently being made in and ?. Is the western society becoming weak?, do we need to invest in order to stay on TOP?

  1. you know how everything is “made in china”? well in the 21st century all the asian people are going to look on the bottom of theyre crap to read the words “made in the north american union” just look at the national dept.

  2. When China and India become consumers, our prices will go up and they will demand cash payment for their goods.
    We as a society should privately invest in efficient productive ventures (power grids would be included) that contribute to our economy. If we have a surplus then we should export for cash. As the wealth is created and revenue flows into our government then it will be able to provide its essential services.
    Interesting point. We are not necessarily weak because we have the world loaning us money to consume their resources and finished products. In the end, we end up with the goods and they end up with an IOU.
    We are on the road to weakness because eventually the line of credit will dry up and we will be forced to restructure our economy out of desperation.

  3. China is a consumer, we just like to consume the goods we make. Most American things are luxury goods and cost too much for the average Chinese citizen.
