Has anyone brought a dress fromebaymade by one of those china custom dressmakers?
Please only answer if you have I don’t want random opinions if you don’t really have the facts.
Yes, I have. I have also ordered all my bridesmaid dresses as my wedding dress was so awesome.
His name is landybridal and he has a website too:http://landybridal.com.
I am recommending everyone to him as he his marvellous, he has 100% feedback on ebay and has his own factory in Hong Kong.
All dress from Maggies Sottero to Mori Lee and more are on this site all made to measure and they take abut a month to complete.
Any colour you want and at a fraction of the cost of a real designer gown.
I have had 3 brides that have come in to buy a gown from us after they had ordered one from Ebay Chinese makers and I can tell you, they were all second rate quality.
One bride was told it would take 6 – 8 weeks and after 8 weeks she still hadn’t gotten it and emailed the seller, they said she would be getting it shortly, after many more emails she got it 6 weeks after the initial email (which was 2 weeks after the wedding.)
Another bride got hers in and the appliques were glued on and not sewn on. She brought it in to my seamstress to see what could be done since the glue was coming out around the edges and had seeped through and scratched her skin. She had to buy a new gown.
The last one that I saw was made of one layer of cheap polysatin, had no lining, no crinoline (despite supposedly being a full gown), no straps to hang it from and no ribbon to hang up the train.
Well i have a friend that bought a dress from this ebay sellerhttp://stores.ebay.com/Cinderellas-Brida…
I was actually planning on buying from them also but ended buying from david’s bridal. I was more comfortable with that but my friend’s dress was absolutely beautiful. What i like from this seller is that they don’t show you pictures of a magazines and they do show you pictures of the actual dress that they make. If i would have bought a dress on ebay i would only buy from a seller that shows real pictures of dresses and have refund warranty like this seller has.
i have looked at many of them and most of the dresses when they actually come in look nothing like the dress you wanted, they are of very low quality and normally of material that wedding dresses are normally never made of.
as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. i wouldn’t trust a wedding dress made over in china, you have no idea of the quality and you have no guarantee that when you get the dress it is even going to look nice.
you really do not want to skimp on your wedding dress. if you are looking for an inexpensive wedding dress Davids bridal has them for $99 dollars right now and you can go to bridal outlet stores and find discontinued dresses that are brand new for a good price.
I haven’t from ebay but I did from little coral (cheap wedding dress) .com. It was a pretty good quality and looks pretty good. But you need to either order it two sizes two big and have it altered or send in your exact measurements. Below is a link of the one that I purchased and I plan on wearing it at the reception to change out of the ball gown. Go for it if you don’t want to spend alot of money on something you will only wear once!http://www.littlecoral.com/wd09036-smipl…
heard a couple weeks ago, this lady ordered a dress online from another country and she payed for it and everything and the dress never even came and it was a complete scam. i would either take a trip to china to get the dress so you see it in person and you know it is there, or i would go to a local bridal shop..there are people online who screw you over..so just make sure you get it from a legit person.
