Are Things Sold In Japan Made In China Like Here In The Us?
out of all the computer manufactureres I know, only fujitsu still makes their laptops in japan. And I know that here in the US, the wii is made in china.
So I am wondering, are the products sold in japan by japanese companies, also made in china like here in the US. I really hate the chinese built quality.
Yes, many of the products sold in Japan are imported from China just like the U.S. Like the U.S. you can usually find out where it came from by looking at the label.
Sadly it is simple economics. Things are cheaper when made in China and people want to pay less.
There are components in a Fujitsu laptop that are made outside Japan even if final assembly takes place in Japan. Quality is a matter of quality assurance, not the physical location of the plant. Honda’s Ohio plant is consisently their #1 plant in the world in terms of QA. The consumer electronics sold in Japan by Japanese companies are manufactured in the same places consumer electronics outside Japan are. Generic components like “2.5 hard drives or AT motherboards are just not manufactured in Japan anymore.
Yes, they import the same junk we do. It’s all a matter of money. No Japanese is going to work for what amounts to a dollar a day.
