Where Can I Find Toys Made In The Usa Or Atleast Not Made In China?
I am afraid to buy toysmade in China for my kids. I have 2 birthdays and Christmas coming up. Where can I get toys not made in China and what brands are they?
Try http://www.oompa.com. The toys are a little pricey, but for the most part they are made in Europe, which means very high standards. Also just keep checking the boxes, I was able to find some stuff at Target the other day. I still have yet to find toys made in the US that were not handmade and I have been looking
All I can suggest is to look carefully on the boxes or maybe do a search on-line. WalMart used to carry alot of made in the USA items, but then Sam Walton(the founder) died and there corporate policy changed.
Probably would have to buy them in China, LOL!!! Everything in the US is made in China I swear so maybe everything in China is made here?!?!?! I don’t know, an Idea at least!
I hope this helps, made in the homeland, doesnt get ne better than this…http://www.turnertoys.com/made-in-USA/am…http://www.cpsalesco.com/USAToys.pdfhttp://www.stillmadeinusa.com/toysngames…
Also I know that PLAYGRO toys are “Made In China”, but they have a fantastic Quality Control System certified so you can rely on them.
Avoid Fisher-Price, Johnson & Johnson (especially – they use the cheapest labour & components possible), and Mattell – they are cheap and nasty with a “good name”
Here’s a link to some from Fox News. Keep in mind that if your kids have passed the age of putting all sorts of stuff in their mouth, it is likely a nonproblem.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,2920…

There is no way you can buy things made in the US anymore. China makes everything. your gonna have to deal with it. There were no deaths recorded by lead in Chinese made toys so their not that dangerous.
I was thinking the same thing! I am probably going to have to do a search (maybe google American Toy Companies). My children are 5 and 7, though, so they are past the stage where they are putting everything into their mouths. I have just talked to them and stressed the importance of not putting them into their mouths, not only due to choking, but now due to the lead issues.
I imagine as the holidays get closer, toy companies will probably be advertising if they are american made toys, however, sadly, there probably arent many of them anyway!
also check out whittle shortline toys at woodentrain.com. made just outside of st. louis. they are awesome and my kids love them. not sure about the other toys listed but I can vouch for these…
